catalog with Product Information Management from jCatalog

Dortmund/Bamberg 12/10/07 - In the course of introducing its
new and comprehensive online catalog, the company Wieland Electric
GmbH, with headquarters in Bamberg, decided to use the efficient catalog
software solution from jCatalog. Wieland Electric thereby underlined the
importance of a user-friendly product information system for their customers.
The new online catalog will be made available to interested parties in 2008.
The jCatalog Product Information Manager PIM and the Online Product Catalog
OPC supports the renowned specialists for automation and building services
technology in determining the optimal integration of multi-layered product
information. The introduction of the jCatalog Information Management Software
serves the internationally operating company as a goal-oriented tool for
internal data maintenance and has resulted in a clearly structured online
query catalog for the buyer.
Detailed search functions lead interested persons quickly and directly to the
desired product information: in addition to the easy query via classification
and product groups navigation and the convenience of product groups pictures,
the online catalog also offers the user a practical search engine via the
classification systems ETIM and the Wieland product family. In addition, a

of carrying out a comprehensive product comparison via the Internet. The
selected product information can be immediately saved or printed as data sheet
in the PDF file format.
The standard PIM and OPC software from jCatalog was successfully customized to
meet the individual requirements of Wieland Electric. During the successful project
deployment, the information system was suitably integrated into the Wieland IT
landscape. Moreover, Wieland Electric relies on flexible organization and distribution
