Siegenia Aubi deploys Product Information Management

Dortmund, 05/07/04; jCatalog Software AG has gained Siegenia-Aubi KG, Wilnsdorf, as a new customer for the PIM software SellFast. The manufacturer of door and window fittings uses the jCatalog software for managing 13.000 components for the production of fittings and manufactures complete product supports. Since March of this year, Siegenia-Aubi, one of the largest manufacturers of door and window fittings, deploys jCatalog software. The production range comprises approx. 13.000 individual components that are all administered in the new system. The objective was to implement a system for product information management (PIM), enabling a flexible method of automated creation of all required production data. The available information within the organization should also be used better and disseminated more effectively. The system has a direct connection with the ERP-system SAP R/3. To avoid redundant data storage, an interface is available through which all available data are adjusted between SAP and PIM catalog solution. "With the automatic production of our catalogs and price lists with jCatalog Software, we reduce our (type)setting costs considerably. Moreover, the deployment of the new product information system has simplified data maintenance." says Mischa Reichmann, project leader for Siegenia Aubi.
