DT-DIESEL TECHNIC AG successfully publishes product information with Product Information Manager from jCatalog

In the largest catalog competition, the print catalog created with jCatalog won the first place in the automotive category, setting new standards in catalog publication

Dortmund/Kirchdorf, 23 October 2007 - The DT-Diesel Technic AG, based in Kirchdorf, has successfully implemented the Product Information Manager (PIM) from jCatalog. With that, the well-known manufacturer and full-range spare parts supplier for commercial vehicles has appropriately chosen a modern and high-performing software solution for the central administration of product and catalog data.

The specialists from Kirchdorf were particularly convinced by the extensive flexibility offered to users in data management: for example, jCatalog PIM offers the possibility of compiling a selection of products, together with the relevant product information, in different output formats, thereby providing product information that is specific to models, markets and customers. With PIM, DT-Diesel Technic AG is well equipped to develop new distribution channels in the future and to meet the increasing global demand for spare parts with the "DT" mark of quality - suitable for commercial vehicles manufactured by Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, DAF and MAN.

The DT-Diesel Technic AG publishes all updated product information for national and international sales documentation with jCatalog PIM. This system allows the complex relationships of the product specifications to be taken into consideration and also complies with all the relevant general conditions. Based on XML, PIM enables the fully automatic generation of print catalogs of up to 800 pages and in seven languages from product information, with just one mouse click. Not only are the results displayed quickly, the professional layout templates help to create these in a clear and attractive manner.

With their print catalog, created with jCatalog PIM, DT-Diesel Technic AG won first place in the automotive industry category during the annual primary catalog benchmark.

PIM guarantees clarity: via the data output in an online product information system, the existing online shop could be expanded to include detailed product information and technical data, the introduction of new products as well as an effective search function for the comprehensive full product range, thereby providing significant added value. With the jCatalog Online Product Catalog (OPC), customers as well as sales employees in the company and its worldwide branches always have the latest product information at their disposal. Furthermore, through the diverse possibilities offered by PIM, DT-Diesel Technic AG can generate customer-specific product information without incurring large organizational costs.
